Interior design: music for the bionic ear!

Very exciting weekend ahead with the Bionic Ear Institute’s concert taking place in Melbourne on Sunday!

-----------------------------------------------
Sunday 13th February, 2011

Where: Fairfax Studio @ the Arts Centre, Melbourne
Times: Choose from: 5:30 pm or 8:00 pm
Prices: $25 adults / $15 concession

Also an optional 7 pm lecture for all ticketholders, limited space available (first come, first served). Lecture will cover how the music was made along with some of the issues encountered.

-----------------------------------------------

Can’t believe it’s so close now, time has flown. Am wondering whether the composers are getting nervous! (If their sample material from a couple of months back is anything to go by though, they have no reason to feel nervous. What a talented group of artists. I can’t wait to hear what the finished pieces sound like!)

If you’re in Melbourne (or want an excuse to visit Melbourne!), do yourself a favour and come along to the show. It is not a prerequisite to have cochlear implants. The music can be enjoyed by anyone, including those who wear hearing aids and those who don’t have a hearing loss at all.

And if you’re coming along to the afternoon session, feel free to come up and introduce yourself! Just look for the pregnant woman with the decorated processors hanging off her ears.

Yes, of course I have ‘designed’ some unique processors for this event - stay tuned! ;-)

  1. Excellent! I was hoping I hadn't missed the concert and will certainly try to get there. I'm very interested in the results, and curious as to what works for you and what doesn't, and is it the same for all with CI(s), and will I like the music, and and and...
