My weblinks

Cochlear Australia
The Cochlear website is a great place to get information on CIs, whether you're a recipient or not.

Cochlear Community (USA and Canada)
Where would I be without the people on this site? I was truly going around in circles before I joined this group, buried under all the uncertainty of my decisions. But after I joined, I no longer felt alone in my experiences, and the messages of support that started flooding in from my friends on this site empowered me all the way to the operating theatre and beyond.

Cochlear Implant Support Group (Australia)
This is the Australian Yahoo support group for CI hopefuls, or CI recipients and their family and friends. It's lovely to connect to local people who share the same concerns or can offer helpful answers to your questions.

The Bionic Ear Foundation
Stay abreast of Melbourne's research on cochlear implants. I'm closely following their 'Music perception and appreciation' study, with great interest!

CICADA (Cochlear Implant Club and Advisory Association)
Meet up with other CI users at local functions. (Doesn't exist in Victoria yet, but there is talk of a group commencing here also.)
